4. Giant Pandas, Chengdu
Giant Pandas are deeply loved by Chinese and oversea foreigners, knows as the national treasure in China. Many people ranks Giant Pandas as the No.1 in their travel wishing list. As the hometown of Giant Pandas, Chengdu is the best place to visit Giant Pandas.
Generally speaking, there are four famous giant panda bases in and around Chengdu City. You could choose any depending on your interesting and time.
Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base in Chengdu: it is the place for baby birthing and breeding,. You can see baby pandas and some superstars of Pandas here that means much more visitors, especially on weekends.
Dujiangyan Panda Base: it is a training base for pandas who are ready to go back to wildlife so it has less pandas but closer distance. The pandas have more times to wander around rather than staying in the big villa. The base it not too big to stroll around. Moreover, you could experience the giant panda volunteer program.
Wolong China Giant Panda Garden: it is located in Wolong, 130km from Chengdu. You can see over 70 native pandas inhabiting and explore panda's nightlife without tourists. Due to the cool weather and remote location, there are less visitors here. A perfect choice for your visiting the native pandas.
Bifengxia Panda Base: this base is located in Ya’an, 150km from Chengdu. It is as 10 times larger as Wolong China Giant Panda Garden. There are over 300 pandas living here. Panda lovers from the whole world can closely watch the adorable pandas and join panda loving care program.

5. Mt.Huangshan, near Shanghai
Mt.Huangshan is the main spot of fairyland-like Huangshan national park. It not only boasts for attractive scenery but also abundant resources and a great variety of zoological species, for which it has been listed as a World Natural and Cultural Heritage Site.
Mt.Huangshan has various and unique beauty, from the wild spring flowers, spectacular summer waterfalls, colorful autumn leaves and white winter rime through a year. You choose choose any time to visit Mt.Huangshan. Just keep in mind that the West Sea Valley and Heavenly Capital Peak (Tiandu Peak) are closed for winter maintenance from every December to the following March.And the West Sea Valley cable-car temporarily stops receiving any visitors.
For most visitors, there are 2 main cable cars for ascent and descent – Yungu Cable Car in East Sea (Back Mountain) and Yuping Cable Car in West Sea (Front mountain). Yungu Cable Car is recommended and it’s less crowded. Although cable cars are available on the Mt.Huangshan, you still need to do some mountain climbing to get to the tops. 6. Li River, Guilin
Li River, or Li Jiang, is the mother river of local people in Guilin. Listed by National Geographic as one of the "Top 10 Watery Wonders" of the world, the Li River is a treasure and shining star for locals and travelers. Li River is the top 1 attraction you should visit in Guilin no matter how long you stay in Guilin.
There are three classic ways to visit Li River as below. Firstly, you can take a panoramic cruise across the Li River, which is highly recommended to first-time visitors. Secondly, take a bamboo shifting which is the best way to get close to the Li River. Thirdly, you could ride a bicycle to enjoy the landscape alongside the Li River.
1) Li River Cruise - Best Way to Appreciate Beautiful Scenery of Karst Landscape
Li River cruise starts from a pier (Mopanshan/Zhujiang Pier)close to Guilin in the morning (9 am and 10am). The whole trip takes about 4 hours and reaches Yangshuo at 1.20pm. Along the 86-kilometer waterway, you will see karst peaks, grazing water buffalo, farmers working in the fields, and traditional villages nestled at the bases of the hills. You can take many pictures of nature or yourself from a very wide and high view on board while you could take a seat to relax when you are tired. It is even much more unique and beautiful if it is raining outside because you will enjoy all mountains along the river in a misty. In the misty rain of Li River, there is a serene beauty that transcends words. As the rain falls gently on the lush greenery, it creates an atmosphere of tranquility and nostalgia. The sight of various unique small hills accompanying the clear Li River resemble a classic traditional Chinese picture.
Currently, there are two kinds of boat that travel across the Li River: 4-star and 3-star boats. The 4-star boats are the newest and best ones. 4-star boats provide a more comfortable and enjoyable experience as they are equipped with modern facilities, larger seats, and cleaner Western bathrooms. The seating capacity of the 4-star cruise boats is half that of the 3-star boats so they are not as crowded and there isn't much disruptive microphone usage on board. A buffet lunch is served. This is a one-way cruise. There are no cruises from Yangshuo to Guilin.
2) Bamboo Rafts — the Best Way to Get Close to the Li River
If you want to get closer to the stunning Li River, taking a trip on a bamboo raft is the best choice. The route is from Yangdi Village to Nine houses Fresco Hill (recommended) or Nine Horses Fresco Hill to Xingping Village.
Comparing with Li River cuirse, bamboo rafting only cost you 1 -1.5 hours. Spend 1 hour sitting on a raft, enjoying the sight of the unique mountains and clear river that surround you. Slow your pace and focus on the beauty of the Li River, feeling as though you are part of a real traditional Chinese painting. However, this rating is not highly recommend to elder people over 70 years or children under 6.
3)Cycling — Enjoy the Landscape Alongside the Li River
If you enjoy doing outdoor activities, riding a bicycle alongside the Yulong River is a must-do when you’re in Yangshuo. It is very convenient for you to rent a bike for hours at your hotel and any restaurants or shops nearby at Yangshuo. There, you can not only see beautiful natural views but can also witness the most authentic local lifestyle, such as watching the local farmers ride in their ox carts as they plow the fields.
