13. Leshan Giant Buddha near Chengdu
Located in the east of Leshan city, Leshan Giant Buddha is a huge statue carved into the side of Lingyun Mountain. Begun in the year 713 in the Tang Dynasty, and finished in the year 803, the statue took people more than 90 years to carve. It ranks the largest and tallest Buddha in the world with 71-meter high. There is a saying, The mountain is a Buddha and the Buddha is a mountain.
How big the Giant Buddha is? The answer is about 71 meters high and 24 meters wide. The head of Giant Buddha is 14.7 meters long and 10 meters wide with 1,021 buns of hair on it. His 9-meter-wide instep is big enough for 100 people to sit on and the 24-meter-wide shoulder is large enough to be a basketball playground. His toe is large enough to accommodate a dining table. Any one close to this Buddha just likes an ant to an elephant.

14. Dali Old Town, Dali
Dail Old Town is one of the old towns in China surrounded by ancient walls. It faces Er Lake to the east and the Cang Mountains to the west. Dali Old Town has historical sites, medieval buildings, temples, and streets lined with shops, restaurants, bars, and hotels. Different from Lijiang, Dali Old Town is more authentic because there are still many families living there.
