Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrive at Beijing (No meals)

  Take your flight from home to Beijing airport. Start your wonderful adventure to China from the capital city. Be transferred to hotel and have a good rest in our well selective hotel.

• Day 2:  Beijing (Breakfast/Lunch)

  Highlight: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven.

  Today our professional guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and begin your amazing Beijing city tour.Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City are next to each other in the central axis of Beijing. You will feel a new dignified and old amazing China at the same time. Moreover, Temple of Heaven will display you how ancient royal families present their loyalty to Chinese deities. You will have a lunch in a local restaurant nearby.

• Day 3:  Beijing (Breakfast/Lunch)

  Highlight: Great Wall and Summer Palace

  Continue your wonderful Beijing city tour. Never miss Mutianyu Great Wall or you will regret for your life-time.;It was the masterpiece of Chinese people without any help of machines. Walk along on the Great Wall and have a good view of nature. Have a lunch in a local restaurant. Go back to Beijing city to visit the Summer Palace for Chinese Emperors.

• Day 4:  Beijing- Luoyang by train (Breakfast/Lunch)

  Highlight: Hutong

  Walk in Hutong, the original apartment for Chinese people to live, and have a real touch to Beijing local cities by yourself. Be transferred to Beijing railway station and take a bullet train(4 hours) to Datong in the afternoon. Be met by your guide at the Luoyang railway station to explore another famous cultural city of China..

• Day 5: Luoyang - Dengfeng - Luoyang (Breakfast/Lunch)

  Highlight: Shaolin Temple

  Today you will be transferred from Luoyang to Shaoling Temple in Dengfeng (1.5 hours). Shaolin Temple is the birthplace of Zen Buddhism and the cradle of Chinese Kung Fu. This is probably the most famous temple in China, not just because of its long history but also because of its role in Chinese Buddhism and its martial arts. You should not miss the famous Pagoda Forest inside because it is the existing largest pagoda forest in China. When an important monk passed away, their cremains or skeleton would be put into the underground palace and a pagoda will be build on it. Larger the pagoda is, more important the monk is. You will enjoy a Kung fu show at the theater there to see the different weapons used by Shaolin monks. And a Kungfu class is arranged as well depending on your interests. Or you can just stroll around the real life of monks in Shaolin Temple.

• Day 6 Luoyang - Xi'an by train (Breakfast/Lunch)

  Highlight: Luoyang Museum, Luoyang Grottoes and White Horse Temple

  Besides Shaolin Temple, you should visit Luoyang to explore the capital city of 13 Ancient Dynasties , which is for the longest period, the most dynasties, and the earliest time compared with the other ancient capital cities. Start from your visiting to Luoyang Museum that is nicely designed, new and less crowded with a good collection of Chinese artcrafts. Then drive 20-minute to Longmen Grottoes. The UNESCO World Heritage Site Luoyang Grottoes have more than 100 000 carvings and statues of Buddha, all carved along river bank, a truly magnificent art display in a natural environment. Last but not the least, White Horse Temple on the other side of Luoyang is considered to be the cradle of Buddhism in China; many renowned monks from abroad have visited in times past to gain wisdom and knowledge. Transferred to Luoyang Longmeng railway station to take a bullet train to Xi’an (1.5 hours). Be met by Xi’an local guide and relax yourself in Xi’an.

• Day 7: Xi'an (Breakfast/Lunch)

  Highlight: Terracotta Warriors, Bell Tower, Gao's Courtyard and Muslim Quarter

  Visit Terracotta Warriors, a real underground world of Chinese royal family. Have a lunch of Chinese local rest restaurant nearby. Drive back to Xi'an to see Bell Tower, the biggest one remains in China now. Gao’s Courtyard is a good choice for you to see Chinese paper cutting and shadow puppetry. Moreover you will have a chance to taste delicious China northern snacks in Muslim Quarter.

• Day 8: Xi'an-Shanghai by Plane (Breakfast/Lunch)

  Highlight:  Ancient City Wall, Wild Goose Pagoda and north square and Hanyang Tomb

  Today you will visit all kinds of historical must-see attractions in Xi'an. Stroll along the Ancient City Wall, climb up to the Wild Goose Pagoda and visit Huayang Mausoleum. You will learn all respect of this ancient city. Then be transferred to Xi'an airport to take a flight to Shanghai. Be met by your guide at the Shanghai airport and transferred to hotel.

• Day9: Shanghai (Breakfast/Lunch)

  Highlight:  Shikumen, the Bund, Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Lujiazui CBD and Shanghai Tower

  Shanghai is a magic city for everyone. Not only you can see the old architectures in Shikumen and Yuyuan Garden, but also modern skyscrapers in Lujiazui CBD and Shanghai Tower. Furthermore, walk along the Bund at night will impress you a lot.

• Day 10: Depart from Shanghai (Breakfast)
